EuroNews expands in Middle East with Orbit

EuroNews, the most watched international news channel in Europe and Orbit Communications Company concluded an agreement, at MIPCOM 2006 in Cannes, for the broadcast of EuroNews via Orbit in 25 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Orbit will exclusively distribute the channel in 12 countries including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait in addition to 13 other countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Cyprus

Launched in 1993, EuroNews - based in Lyon, France - covers world news from a European perspective. The channel will be available in January 2007 to all Orbit subscribers in English and in French. Viewers can choose the language by pressing the language button on the remote control. This exclusive deal adds to Orbit's regionally unmatched portfolio of information and news channels.
