Call rates to halve

Mobile phone call rates in the UAE are forecast to drop by around 50% over the next four years due to increased competition, according to an industry report cited by Emirates Today. The report by BIS Shrapnel estimates there will be 5.7m mobile subscribers in the country by 2010, a growth of around 23% on 2005 figures.
