Batelco donation to support young musicians of the Gulf

Batelco, Bahrain's leading Telecommunications Company is once again offering opportunity to young musicians from Bahrain and the region by supporting the Young Musicians of the Gulf 2007 competition.

The prestigious annual event will take place from 18 to 21 February next year with the heats taking place at St. Christopher's Junior and Senior schools and the grand final at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel.

Batelco Corporate Affairs Senior Manager Hatem Altaie presented a cheque for BD1,000 to St. Christopher's School Young Musicians of the Gulf co-ordinator Mike Gaunt, at a meeting at Batelco's Hamala Headquarters.

"The Young Musicians of the Gulf gives music students a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents at a world-class event and we are delighted to be once again contributing to the cause," said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

Batelco is a leading supporter of the youth of Bahrain, annually contributing significant sums of money to promote academic, sports and musical ability to ensure that the Kingdom's future generations stand alongside the best the world has to offer.
