UAE two day weekend revised

The new UAE labour law will not stipulate a mandatory two day weekend for the private sector, reported Gulf News. Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi, the Minister of Labour, who last month said the proposal was under consideration, has revealed that the law will specify a compulsory one day weekend and a 48 hour working week. The law will give the Cabinet the option of adding a second day later.
