The sword presented to Prince Albert from Tejari included an inscribed quote from UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which reads, "In the race for excellence, there is no finish line." Tejari's invitation to this conference highlights the increased international profile of Dubai and digitally-focused companies based there such as Tejari.
"The handover of the ceremonial gift symbolizes how strongly we embrace the ideal that the pen, and by extension digital media, is mightier than the sword. The inscription embodies the spirit of the conference looking to bring together leaders in the digital revolution. Moreover, our participation demonstrates Tejari's continued commitment to seek out advanced media technologies and partnerships that complement our marketplace and deliver more value to our customers" said Hijazi.
Hijazi and Abdulla Salman, Tejari marketing director, attended the Forum to raise Tejari's profile with global media and business leaders. Tejari is engaged in an ongoing process of reaching out to organizations around the world, to extend the reach of its marketplace, and to build awareness of Tejari as a gateway to building a profitable presence in Dubai and the wider Middle East market. At present Tejari operates in markets such as the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, with new offices in the immediate pipeline.
The Monaco Media Forum, which included sponsors such as HH Prince Walid bin Talal of Kingdom Holdings, brings together leaders of the global media to share their experience and views to enable them to take up common challenges together more effectively. The theme of this year's Forum was the future of digital and online media, and many of the most innovative media organizations in the field attended the event.
"Tejari has been very active in building links to global communities this year, to expand the reach of our customers, and to share expertise with other pioneers in the digital world. In August, Tejari signed an agreement with the Glocal Forum, to create an online portal to provide procurement services to more than 100 city governments around the world, as part of the Glocal eCities Network Program. As a component of Tejari's international outreach, the Monaco Media Forum provides a unique opportunity to meet global media and business leaders, to build awareness and understanding of Tejari's role as a gateway to trade with the Middle East,"
added Abdulla Salman, Tejari Marketing Director.
Last month, Tejari CEO Hijazi also addressed the China Internet Conference with a keynote speech on the theme of "eCommerce: The economic gateway to the Middle East." That event attracted more than 1,500 companies from China and the international business community, organized by the Internet Society of China (ISC).
