In his new role, Hareb's core responsibilities focus on coordinating the organising committee on all organisational and management aspects of the event, which will be held from 4-6 December in Dubai, UAE.

Nabil Al Yousuf, Vice-Chairman, ASF Organising Committee, said:

"Hareb's appointment is in line with the UAE's commitment to offer significant opportunities to young Arab leaders to assume prominent roles that impact the strategic development of the public and private sectors. His appointment will inspire the next generation of UAE nationals to undertake similar responsibilities that influence the development of our nation."

Hareb holds a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the UAE University. He has attended training programs at a host of leading international universities including the INSEAD College of Business Administration in France. He is also a member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Development programme.

Hareb has previously held key roles in Dubai E-government and Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development. In 2004, he joined Dubai's Executive Office, where he worked on developing and launching a range of government projects and programmes.

With the theme, 'Creating Opportunity for Change', ASF 2006 will bring together influential figures from the business, government and civil society in the Arab world, and internationally renowned politicians and business leaders.
