H@cker Halted returns to Dubai

The H@cker Halted conference and exhibition will be held at Sheikh Rashid Hall in the Dubai International Convention Centre, on the 11th and 12th of December 2006.

After the success of last year's conference which saw some 350 delegates from across the world fly in to Dubai to attend the first security conference and exhibition in the Middle East; inaugurated by His Royal Highness Shiekh Hashar bin Juma Al Maktoum, Hacker Halted will be returning to Dubai for a second stint.

Once again there will be a host of world class international speakers all of whom are at the pinnacle of their fields within the security industry and topics that will be presented to delegates will include: "Hackings that Kill You" presented by Dr. Majid Sarrafzadeh, "Penetration Test Methodology", by Mr. Erik Laykin, "Hijacking Wi-Fi", by Dr. Ali Jahangiri, "Computer Crime Documentary & Incident Handling", by Mr. Ivor Rankin, and "User Authentication; Daily Challenges!", by Mr. Larry Detar.

This year's event is not just a regular IT security conference. There is an exhibition of security solutions from premier security companies and with sponsorship by some of the industries leading solution makers and security software manufacturers: Juniper, Etisalat, Symantec, and Cisco. Delegates will have the opportunity to peruse and gain valuable information on their own solutions and security issues.

During the event delegates will have the opportunity to assess the best practices in acquiring, implementing, managing and measuring information security. They will have free access to some of the most sort-after IT training, software, and hardware in not just the gulf region but the whole world. All attendees will be provided with the opportunity to network with the other delegates and speakers at our networking session on the 12th December.

"Our goal is to provide education and training for anyone, throughout the Middle East, who has security concerns relating to data proliferation," said Mr. Amir Pishyar, Vice-President 32Group and Director of Dubai Informatics Computer Centre.
