During its participation in 'Aluminium 2006', Gulf Extrusions received inquiries from several European markets, including Germany, France, UK, Holland and Spain. Gulf Extrusions had showcased a wide selection of aluminium profiles at 'Aluminium 2006', where it was participating for the first time.
'Having firmly established itself as the market leader in the Middle East, Gulf Extrusions is now looking to expand its operations to new geographical regions,' said Robert Holtkamp, Director of Sales and Marketing, Gulf Extrusions.
'Our debut at Aluminium 2006 was aimed at furthering our strategic business objectives for the Europe and South African regions, which we have identified as our new target markets, and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of our participation. We have received inquiries from several European markets, and negotiations are already under way with a handful of leading Europe-based companies.'
'Europe and South Africa are known to be major aluminium consumers and the demand for quality aluminium profiles in these markets has surged further on the back of widespread construction activity being witnessed there. Gulf Extrusions is seeking to make the most of the opportunities in these high-growth markets by positioning itself as a supplier of premium grade aluminium profiles, who is capable of meeting any volume of demand,' Holtkamp added.
More than 600 exhibitors from 38 countries showcased their products and services at 'Aluminium 2006'. The three-day event brought together an estimated 15,000 international decision-makers from the aluminium manufacturing, processing and application industry.
