Italian Minister for International Trade and European Affairs to address media at Dubai Press Club

Dubai Press Club (DPC) will host Her Excellency Emma Bonino, Italian Member of Parliament and Minister for International Trade and European Affairs on Saturday, 28 October at DPC premises in Dubai Media City.

The press briefing will focus on economic and cultural relations between the UAE and Italy. Talks on negotiations for free trade agreement between UAE and European Union will also be conducted.

First elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies in 1976, Hon. Emma Bonino has since then served in the Italian and the European Parliament. Between 1994 and 1999, she was the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Fisheries, Consumer Policy, Consumer Health Protection and Food Safety.

Emma Bonino currently divides her time between Europe and Egypt. As a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the American University of Cairo, she has spent considerable time on addressing human rights and humanitarian issues in the Middle East and North Africa.

In her visit to Dubai, she will accompanied by a ministerial delegation from Italy.
