Timothy Kairu appointed Executive Chef

Chef Timothy will be in charge of the day-to-day kitchen operations.

Kairu joins Novotel and Ibis Word Trade Centre with a wealth of experience behind him. His magical style has charmed palates in the Middle East and beyond for more than a decade, as his overstocked awards cabinet proves. Prior to his present appointment, Chef Timothy worked at Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai, a 5 star flagship hotel housing 8 specialty restaurants including Japanese, Chinese, Far Eastern, Persian, Asian, Italian, Korean and seafood. Between 2004 and mid 2006, his touch was evident on a sprinkling of top notch hotels including the Hilton International Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali International Hotels Dubai, Holiday Inn in South Africa, the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland , and the three stars Michellin Hotel in London.(The water side Inn)

He is the recipient of a number of prizes including the Gold medal award at the Emirates Salon live cooking competition in Dubai, Gold Medal at the Sandston sun in Johannesburg , Several medals at the Hotel Olympia in London and many more.
