Abu Dhabi to host International Emmy Awards semi-final round of judging for third consecutive year

The International Academy of Arts and Sciences and Pyramedia, the Middle East's media and television production company, will be hosting one of the semi-final judging sessions for the 40th International Emmy Awards in Abu Dhabi, September 2012.
"For the third consecutive year, Pyramedia is proud to be hosting the judging panel in Abu Dhabi and once again bringing together media professionals from the region to be part of this internationally renowned competition," said Pyramedia CEO and Board Member, Nashwa Al Ruwaini.
Al Ruwaini added, "Such events are key in raising the benchmark for local productions by introducing the producers to the strongest content from all over the globe. This atmosphere of competitiveness is highly needed in the region."
"We're delighted to be coming back to Abu Dhabi again, thanks to the wonderful support of our Member Nashwa Al Ruwaini and Pyramedia and thank twofour54 for having the panel of expert jurors from the region in their facilities," said Jessica Franco, Emmy Judging Coordinator.
Ms. Al Ruwaini also added, "The Academy's interest in holding judging panels in Abu Dhabi annually among the select locations worldwide is a clear indication of the Abu Dhabi government's success in advancing the local media and film industry, and enhancing the Emirate's status globally."
Over the past three years, the judging panels Pyramedia organized in Abu Dhabi have hosted over 50 judges from different disciplines of television and film production from the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf and Europe.
