Abu Dhabi, India increase weekly seats to 50,000

The Indian ambassador to the UAE has announced the signing of an agreement with government of Abu Dhabi raising weekly seats to 50,000 for each, up almost four-fold from the current arrangement of 13,300 seats per week, Gulf News has reported. "We have increased weekly seats to 50,000 each between India and Abu Dhabi following an agreement signed on Wednesday between the Indian civil aviation ministry and the UAE civil aviation authority," M K Lokesh, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, told the daily. The new arrangement will be phased over a period of three years, until December 31, 2015, the ambassador added.
