  • PRESS RELEASE

Abu Dhabi Motors has retained its position as the best performing BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce dealer in the Middle East for the first nine months of 2012.

Concluding January - September with a 30% increase in BMW and MINI sales, and 37% growth for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars compared to the same period last year, Abu Dhabi Motors is well on track to achieve an overall sales record for 2012. Clearly demonstrating the strength of the Abu Dhabi market, the company's record year-to-date results are a direct result of its exceptional standards across all areas of the business and ongoing investment in the BMW Group brands. Earlier this year, the importer launched the world's largest BMW Group showroom and after-sales facility - a Dhs300m investment to expand and improve all areas of its flagship showroom.

Commenting on the sales growth, Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors, said: "We are extremely pleased with our 2012 results to date. Our business continues to experience record growth, which is due to a combination of a strong economic environment, desirable premium BMW Group vehicles, professional staff and exceptional service standards. In fact, we have just achieved our highest customer satisfaction results ever in sales and aftersales, something that we are very proud of."

Abu Dhabi Motors delivered 4,928 BMW cars to customers in the first nine months of 2012. This figure was driven by sales of the brand's top-of-the-range models, with the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle (1,876 cars) and X6 Sports Activity Coupé (855 cars) performing the best. Demonstrating that Abu Dhabi customers have a preference to purchase highly specified, versatile vehicles with powerful engines.

With the company focused on driving sales for the remainder of the year, the recently launched fabulous, new 6 Series Gran Coupé and the new updated 7 Series, featuring several refinements as well as a power boost for the 750Li, are expected to contribute to another record overall year-end sales result with customers expressing great interest in the BMW Group's newest models.

The MINI brand also continues to grow with 191 cars sold during the first nine months of the year, an increase of 26% and an impressive achievement deserving of the exciting range of models MINI now offers. Contributing to these outstanding results is the high demand for the all-wheel drive Countryman in addition to the brand's newest family members, the all-new MINI Roadster and Coupé.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars continues its outstanding successes in the Capital with a 37% sales increase in the first nine months of 2012. Representing the highest number of sales in the region, this figure comes as a natural progression for Abu Dhabi Motors, which has seen impressive growth over the past few years in sales of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and dominating the upper premium segment. The company's focus on customer satisfaction and targeted marketing activities is in line with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' pursuit of excellence and quality in every aspect of the brand and customer services.
