Abu Dhabi University recognized amongst the world's top 550 universities

On its first attempt, Abu Dhabi University has entered the ranks of the world's top 550 universities in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) world university rankings of 2012 -2013.

Out of 2500 universities considered worldwide, 700 universities were evaluated according to academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty to student ratio, citations per faculty, and international faculty and student ratio.

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University stressed the importance of this significant achievement that has ranked the university within the world's top 501 -550 universities.

"To be recognized by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the world's most trusted and prestigious university rankings is a milestone for Abu Dhabi University. Especially since we are just about to celebrate our tenth year since the University's inception in 2003", explained Dr. Ibrahim.

He added: "This recognition is an international testament to the quality of education offered at Abu Dhabi University, and its growing status amongst world universities."

Dr. Ibrahim pointed out that this is Abu Dhabi University's first attempt and first year to enter the QS World University Rankings. "Our research has also shown that the University is among the top 15 universities and institutions of higher education in the Arab world who are recognized by the QS World University Rankings. This worldwide recognition embodies our commitment to excellence and resonates with our strategic vision in achieving international standards, through our curriculum, student services or the quality of our international faculty and university graduates", asserted Dr. Ibrahim.

"According to the rankings, Abu Dhabi University scored amongst the top 301 universities in academic reputation, and was ranked in the 253rd place in the employer reputation indicator, which highlights the universities that produce the best graduates worldwide. The University has also achieved a score of 87.3% in the international faculty indices and 60.1% in the international students indices", explained Dr. Ibrahim.

"This outstanding achievement is the result of years of hard intensive work and an acknowledgement of the dedication and efforts of our faculty, staff, students and alumni. It is also dedicated to our community partners and our various collaborators in business enterprises; their efforts and achievements as reflected in this ranking, assures us that Abu Dhabi University will continue on its path to achieve excellence and is a strong impetus for further successes," concluded Dr. Ibrahim.
