Abu Dhabi Airports Company announced that ADAC Airports Operations Division, which operates in Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport, received the ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certifications for its activities.

The third-party certification is international recognition of ADAC's standards and its work to embrace a culture of quality and excellence.

H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansouri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, commented, "These certifications are an important milestone in ADAC's efforts to continually improve and they verify that the company's airports operate at internationally recognised standards. We aim to operate our airports in a manner that promotes health and safety and ensures a high-quality and efficient service with a minimum impact on the environment. The Integrated Management System drives forward legal and regulatory requirements, including the GCAA CARs, CAAPs and the Abu Dhabi EHSMS implementation across ADAC and its subsidiaries."

LRQA General Manager for Middle East & Africa, Basem Obaid, added, "The certification of ADAC Airports' operations marks the success of the company in being the first airport in the region to achieve all three certifications from LRQA."

"The system's integrated approach enabled a platform for legal and regulatory compliance as well as management of operational risks, standardisation of processes and procedures while at the same time promoting a culture of safety, environment and quality," he said.
