ADCED launches Dirhami initiative's first public exhibition stand at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development (ADCED) launched the Dirhami initiative's first public exhibition stand at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. The exhibition stand is the first of its kind launched by ADCED.
Moreover, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Dirhami's character, Dr. Dirham, which was designed at the aim to champion financial literacy and reach out to the local population in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, enabling them to make sound financial decisions, increasing their understanding on personal finances and promoting for rationalized spending and budget planning.
Representatives from ADCED will be on hand each day to greet the public and provide financial advice.
In this regard, H.E. Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, ADCED's Director General, said, "Following our success in raising financial awareness among hundreds of university students across the emirate of Abu Dhabi earlier this year, we decided to take Dirhami to a larger audience - the general public. The stand at Marina Mall will enable us to directly communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds, raising their financial awareness and providing them with the necessary skills to manage their finances better."
Dirhami was launched by ADCED in December 2010 in line with the Abu Dhabi 2030 Economic Vision. It aims to increase public awareness of basic financial concepts including budgeting, saving, spending, banking services and investment opportunities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The programme targets the Emirati population including students, young professionals, investors, young married couples, families and retirees.
The Dirhami stand is located on the ground floor of Marina Mall Abu Dhabi, opposite the Ferrari store. It will be open to the public from the 13- 24 November 2012.
