ADEC receives delegation from Northern Michigan University

H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), received a delegation from Northern Michigan University, USA.
The delegation from Northern Michigan University (NMU) was headed by Dr. David Haynes, NMU President, and included Dr. Paul Lang, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Martha Haynes Vice President for Advancement, and Dr. Jamal Rashed, Dean of the College of Business.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Khaili emphasized that ADEC is keen to foster partnership relations with international educational institutions in order to share knowledge and expertise. "This would help Abu Dhabi develop its educational system in line with highest international standards. NMU is a distinguished institution worldwide," he pointed out.
The delegation was briefed on ADEC's Higher Education Strategic Plan that aims to achieve a qualitative leap in outcomes as per the vision of the UAE's prudent leadership.
"ADEC's vision is to be recognized as a world class education system that supports all learners in reaching their full potential to compete in the global market," Dr. Al Khaili indicated.
Earlier, the delegation visited Al Mushrif Chinese School and Khadija Al Kubra School accompanied by Mr. Al Dhaheri who briefed them on the educational system, teaching and programmes.
Visitors attended classes delivered in English, Arabic and Chinese where modern teaching and learning techniques are used through various activities that make learning fun for young students.
