ADEC receives ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 certification and completes iRecruitment System

The celebration was attended by HE Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of ADEC, and a number of senior executives and staff.

"We are pleased to witness another achievement that reflects ADEC's commitment to improving organizational operations, particularly those related to ICT," Dr. Al Khaili said.

"By integrating them into its strategic plans, ADEC is keen to introduce new technologies that help develop daily operations and achieve a higher level of efficiency. Chief among ICT applications and systems, used both by staff and stakeholders, are ERP, eSIS and GIS, he pointed out," he added.

"Today, we are celebrating the completion of yet another system, iRecruitment, that manages recruitment and employment processes in ADEC," Dr. Al Khaili concluded.

Mr. Salem Al Sayari, Executive Director of Support Services, said, "The implementation of the ISO-compliant service management system took eight months to achieve. The certification audit was conducted by the British Standard Institute (BSI) at the end of August 2012, after which the certification was granted to ADEC."

"The ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 framework aims to improve service delivery against agreed services levels to ensure the highest level of quality and satisfaction among ADEC end users and internal stakeholders," Al Sayari added.

ADEC has recently announced the launch of a new automated recruitment application which enables provision of a world class recruitment process and service. The solution is built on the Oracle EBS iRecruitment module, with enhancements and customizations to include travel and hospitality arrangements for new recruits arriving into the country.

Moreover, the iRecruitment service will help save resources & time and reduce the margin of errors in ADEC's pursuit to recruit top class employees from within the UAE as well as abroad. In 2011, ADEC obtained ISO 27001 Certification after establishing an effective information security system in line with the highest international IS standards.
