IFHC's theme at ADIHEX this year, is educating and informing the public about the conservation efforts to preserve the endangered Houbara through a unique and interactive stand for both adults and children.
In line with this theme, children from Al Yahar school aged 7-16 years performed a play to encourage sustainable hunting practices. The play was the highlight of a number of educational activities on the stand.
IFHC's breeding and release projects are carried out under the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Houbara Reintroduction Project.
This is part of his highness' global strategy to provide a living legacy for the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed which aimed to restore wild populations of the Houbara to the UAE, ensuring traditional falconry is maintained for future generations.
