- PRESS RELEASE
The International Fund for Houbara Conservation's (IFHC) stand at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) proved a hit as a large number of visitors came to see the live Houbara and learn more about one of the world's major conservation projects to breed and release the Houbara bustard.
In line with this theme, children from Al Yahar school aged 7-16 years performed a play to encourage sustainable hunting practices. The play was the highlight of a number of educational activities on the stand.
IFHC's breeding and release projects are carried out under the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Houbara Reintroduction Project.
This is part of his highness' global strategy to provide a living legacy for the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed which aimed to restore wild populations of the Houbara to the UAE, ensuring traditional falconry is maintained for future generations.
