ADNOC to raise Bab gas production
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 06 - 2013 at 04:45
Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc) is seeking to increase by 25% the natural gas output from its largest onshore oil field by 2018 to help meet burgeoning domestic demand, Bloomberg has reported. The state-owned firm plans to produce 1.8 billion standard cubic feet a day of gas condensate from the Bab field once it starts operating a compression plant it inaugurated last week, the company's onshore production unit said in an advertisement in local newspapers. The emirate holds 2.9% of the world's gas reserves and 6% of its oil, according to data from BP's annual statistical review.
