Adobe reverses decision on paid for security updates

Adobe has reversed an earlier decision requiring customers to pay to get recent security patches for its Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash Professional products, Computer World has reported. The company said it will now fix for free the eight vulnerabilities in the one-year-old Illustrator and Flash Professional CS5.5, and the two-year-old Photoshop CS5. Last week, Adobe said it would not quash the bugs; one is in Flash Professional, two in Photoshop and five in Illustrator, and told customers to upgrade to the Creative Suite 6 (CS6) editions , which were launched last month, if they wanted the patches.
