The ISO 27001 accreditation specifies the management of Information Security. ISO 27001 is part of the ISO 27000 series of international standards that have been developed to provide a framework around which information security management systems can be effectively implemented.

Gaining such an accreditation officially demonstrates that information security procedures have been effectively addressed and implemented.
