Al Ahli Bank dips, Fitch affirms investment grade rating, outlook

The QE 20 Index advanced 0.43% to hit 8,938.10 points Tuesday. Al Ahli Bank ended off 0.87% to QR57. Earlier in the day, the lender said Fitch Ratings, the international credit rating agency, has affirmed Ahli Bank's long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'A-' with 'Stable Outlook'. "Fitch has also confirmed a 'BBB-' rating in respect of the Bank's financial strength and 'F2' for its short-term IDR" said Al Ahli Bank. Fitch cited Ahli Bank's "solid profitability, satisfactory liquidity, sound capitalization as well as the strong support by the sovereign authorities in Qatar."
