- PRESS RELEASE
Al-Ahli Club Dubai and Commercial Bank of Dubai have signed a partnership agreement, under which the bank will develop co-branded CBD - Al-Ahli Club pre-paid Visa cards. This is in keeping with its commitment to support the sports movement in the United Arab Emirates and is in line with the bank's aim to provide its customers with cash-less convenience.
Mr Hammad stressed that this initiative by CBD reflected the bank's keenness to support sport and the youth. An investment in this field, he said, was the best investment and wants the relationship to grow, and with the CBD's involvement with Al-Ahli was yet another of the bank's many pioneering initiatives to support sporting activities in the country. "We would like to thank the board of directors and the CBD management for this," said the club CEO.
Faisal Galadari, General Manager - Business Group said: "This agreement is just a first step, and we look forward to further enhancing our fruitful and constructive co-operation with Al-Ahli Club, which is one the oldest sports organizations in the UAE. We are fully confident that this will bring specific advantages for athletes in general, and the family of Al-Ahli Club in particular.
"It is our objective to help employees of various organizations to better manage their accounts. Through the CBD and Al-Ahli Club cards, they will be able to track and manage their spending 24/7. They can also manage their spending more effectively and get peace of mind. Instead of carrying cash in your wallet, you can have the convenience of carrying a pre-paid card, which you can use worldwide wherever pre-paid cards are accepted."
"This agreement comes within the framework of CBD's commitment to the highest standards of corporate social responsibility, and its eagerness to support the process of development in various sectors, including the sports sector."
