Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the fifth edition of the annual Al Ain Education & Career Fair is set to bring the spotlight on job seekers, fresh graduates and school leavers seeking to enhance their professional skills or looking for career opportunities.

According to a recent study by Gulftalent.com, the most preferred companies by Emirati graduates include Mubadala and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) both of which will be taking part in the three-day fair. They will be joined by a number of the region's leading companies including Etihad Airways, Etihad Rail and Senaat.

Job seekers will also have the opportunity to meet new exhibitors including Sharaf DG and First Gulf Bank - one of the UAE's foremost financial institutions. The presence of organizations from various sectors, such as aviation, oil and gas, and telecommunications will provide opportunities for job seekers from a range of educational backgrounds.

Khurram Saeed, Exhibition Director, said: "The number of leading organizations that have signed up to attend the fair displays the range of opportunities available for fresh graduates and job seekers. This event provides young job seekers with the platform they need to connect with employers and identify potential career opportunities."

"Furthermore, companies looking to strengthen their workforce will be able to meet the country's finest national graduates. The support of these organizations is essential to the development of the UAE, especially since the youth unemployment rate among Emiratis is between 15-20% ," he added.

The event is being supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), UAE University and Higher Colleges of Technology and has been strategically located in Al Ain due to the city's large population of UAE Nationals and university graduates. According to the Statistics Center- Abu Dhabi there are currently close to 30,000 Emirati students enrolled at universities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

As a result, employers will have the opportunity to connect with Emirati jobseekers from some of the country's leading educational institutions. Organizations like Etihad Airways are looking to continue building their strong Emirati workforce by encouraging UAE nationals to join the companies' diverse training programs.

The fair has also partnered with Bayt, the region's leading job search portal, to host a CV clinic for the first time. Fresh graduates and job seekers can take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn useful tips for developing their CVs, which will give them an added edge when looking for career opportunities.

School leavers will also have the chance to meet some of the country's leading higher education institutions, such as Al Ain University, Berkeley Middle East, Khalifa University, the New York Institute of Technology and University of Sharjah. This will provide young Emiratis with a number of options that will allow them to develop their skills in a professional field.

The Al Ain Education & Career Fair will take place from the 22nd to 24th of April at the Al Ain Convention Center and will be inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
