Dubai-based Al Baddad Holding has signed a five-year contract with Saudi Arabia's National Instruments Foundation to build a 270,000 sq m camp for Haj pilgrims, Emirates 24-7 has reported. The camp will be built with eco-friendly, 100% recyclable materials, said Zayed Al Baddad, CEO of Baddad Holding. The design of the camp will also avoid use of columns for areas up to 500 sq m, he added. The company will also be providing power generators, air conditioning and lighting during the Hajj season of the current year, Al Baddad said.
