Al Bustan Centre and Residence holds International Executive Housekeepers Week

IEHA member Manish Vishnoi, Executive Housekeeper, headed the celebration which started on 9th September with a "fastest bed making" competition, followed by the housekeeping quiz and management exchange day. The staff was completely thrilled to take part in the Housekeeping Olympic Games such as football, volleyball, hit the shampoo with slipper and carry the tray with full of toilet rolls.

The whole week of fun and merriment ended on 15th September with an awarding ceremony where Housekeeping staff were handed appreciation certificate for their hard work and initiative.

IEHA is an organisation working towards acknowledging the efforts of the housekeeping and maintenance force in order to reinforce the importance of these departments. The original idea for National Housekeepers Week came about in 1981 when Doug Slingerland came up with the idea to recognize the "doers" in the housekeeping field. In July of 1996, the celebration became international and was changed to International Housekeepers Week.
