Al Bustan Centre and Residence holds International Executive Housekeepers Week

Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel apartment among visiting tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, recently held a week-long celebration recognising the contributions of the Housekeeping staff, through a series of fun and entertaining events.
The whole week of fun and merriment ended on 15th September with an awarding ceremony where Housekeeping staff were handed appreciation certificate for their hard work and initiative.
Moussa El Hayek, COO, Al Bustan Centre and Residence said: "We are glad to hold the International Executive Housekeeping Week at Al Bustan Centre & Residence, and I am completely delighted to see the level of enthusiasm in my team. I would like to thank the International Executive Housekeeper's Association for highlighting the important part of the hotel team as it is an utmost encouragement for the staff."

IEHA is an organisation working towards acknowledging the efforts of the housekeeping and maintenance force in order to reinforce the importance of these departments. The original idea for National Housekeepers Week came about in 1981 when Doug Slingerland came up with the idea to recognize the "doers" in the housekeeping field. In July of 1996, the celebration became international and was changed to International Housekeepers Week.
