- PRESS RELEASE
Senior executives of the Al Habtoor Group have met with a Malaysian delegation to discuss potential investment opportunities in the South East Asian nation.
Executives from the Al Habtoor Group included Paul Rayner, Advisor to the Chairman and Arun Krishnan, Chief Financial Officer. The meeting comes after members of the Group met with Dato' Ahmad Anwar Adnan, Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE earlier in the month.
Rayner said, "The Malaysian delegation has a very welcoming attitude to Foreign Direct Investment from this part of the world and a very positive view of the UAE. They said they felt a good buzz in Dubai and see the potential for further collaboration and strategic tie-ups. Amongst other things Iskandar offers beneficial tax incentives to foreign investors."
Iskandar Malaysia is located in Johor, the southern gateway to Peninsular Malaysia. Due to its strategic location, it has accessibility to leading Asian cities and proximity to some of the world's most rapidly growing economies.
