Al-Jazeera Paints contribute to obtaining international LEED certificate for green buildings, for the first time in the Kingdom

Al-Jazeera Paints, the high quality paint industry giant in the Middle East and surrounding regions and a leader in the deployment of paints, expressed its pride to contributing to obtain the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certificate, LEED, for sustainable green buildings in the Kingdom for the first time.
In an unprecedented achievement of its kind in Saudi Arabia, the King Abdulla for Petroleum Research and Studies, a part of Saudi ARAMCO, obtained recently in Riyadh the LEED certificate; design, build and operate of high performance green buildings standard.
This certificate requires paying attention to the environment, human health, comfort and preservation of natural resources in addition to saving energy. The certificate adopts a healthy and clean internal environment through minimizing the usage of materials that its components emit harmful odors into homes and through the usage of highly efficient filters that create an internally air conditioned surrounding.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Abdullah Bin Saud Al Romaih, the General Manager of Al-Jazeera Paints Company stressed on company keenness to preserve the environment, citing that the company will spare no efforts to support projects that are built on the basis of the environmentally responsible paints, used to support the green buildings concept. He further committed that the company is ready to answer all the needs of the Kingdom's large sustainable projects.
He expressed his pride for obtaining the certificate, which is an indicator of the high quality of Al-Jazeera Paints, pointing out that the environmentally responsible paints made by the company were deployed to a number of large projects among them; King Abdullah University for Science and Technology, King Abdullah Financial Center and Princess Norah Bint Abdul Rahman University.
It is note worthy to mention that Al-Jazeera Paints is the first Saudi national paints company that invests in serving and protecting the environment and the health of the people through adopting internationally recognized environmental paints standards that seeks to provide healthy living spaces and positive work environment that helps increase productivity.
