Al Manara Centre honoured for excellence

Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, honoured and awarded Al Manara Centre for excellence in customer services rendered to the public for the year 2012. It is the second consecutive year Al Manara Centre receives this honour.

This came during a honouring ceremony of the Centre of excellence in the presence of Abdullah Raffia, Assistant Director General, Khalil Ali, Director of Municipality Centres and Ms. Amina Arif, Head of Al Manara Centre.

Lootah said, "The development is not mere routine work, but the completion and creativity of the individual himself. The occupational creativity adds integrated work culture, which contributes to the development of work and employee at the same time."

Lootah urged the staff to find ways of doing work in innovative ways with high impact and efficiency so that there would not be difficulty in completing the work and evolution of the services provided to the community.

The award is aimed at improving the performance of management and encouraging positive competition. It also aims at the dissemination and application of concepts of excellence, creativity and quality in performance and motivation of staff's creativity and excellence.

The most important criteria considered for the excellence are human resources, dealers, financial resources, operations, operational plan, partners, community groups, production and evaluation.

He also stressed, "The need of transparency and clarity to communicate with customers and the optimum way to provide information."

"It is the duty municipal staff to explain the procedures and laws in place at Dubai Municipality, considering the importance and the role of municipal centres in providing services to the community," he added.
