Al Tayer receives a delegation from Falcon and Associates Company

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) today received a delegation from Falcon and Associates company, headed by Manal Al Bayat, Chief Operations Officer, and Hongbin Kong, Managing Director, Invest Dubai Office, in the presence of Khawla Al Mehairi, VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications Division of DEWA.

The meeting discussed ways of strengthening investments in energy in Dubai

Al Tayer welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of cooperating with 'Falcon and Associates'.

"We discussed the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, which aims to implement diversification of energy resources, and derive 1% of the total energy from renewable sources by 2020,where it will reach 5% from renewable sources, 12% nuclear energy, 12% from clean coal and the rest from gas by 2030," said Al Tayer.

The delegation briefed Al Tayer on Falcon and Associates' services in the UAE and the rest of the world, with a special focus on China, drawing on its status as one of the leading markets for clean coal technologies. Falcon and Associates works to strengthen the investments in developing markets by providing a platform that develops relationships with regulators, investors and companies. The company provides investment opportunities in Dubai, which is an important market for Falcon and Associates.

The delegation thanked Al Tayer for providing a comprehensive overview of the various facets of DEWA's operations and projects.
