Al Tomooh Scheme finances two new projects in Ras Al Khaimah

In line with 'Al Tomooh' commitment to support small national businesses financed by the Scheme, Mr. Majid Al Yousuf, Deputy General Manager and Head of Commercial Banking Unit at Emirates NBD held a meeting with the owners of two new projects recently financed by Al Tomooh Finance Scheme for Small National Businesses.
In this context, Al Tomooh Scheme has financed the two projects in the sum of Dhs3m approximately.
It is worth mentioning that Al Tomooh Scheme has so far financed 128 projects with more than Dhs55m in different sectors such as industrial, professional, service and information technology, in addition to agricultural and sporting area with the aim of encouraging numerous small national businesses in the UAE.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Jawdat Yousuf Hawas, Head of Al Tomooh Scheme and Al Tomooh team members.
Mr. Majid Al Yousuf has confirmed that these two projects represent a good addition to the projects financed by the Scheme in view of the importance of the agriculture and sports field.
We would like to thank all the governmental authorities and private institutions for their support to such projects financed by the Scheme in various UAE emirates and their encouragement of local entrepreneurs to open or extend their own business in Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
During the meeting, Mr. Ahmad Ali Abdulla Al Debani, owner of 'Sports City' stated, "In compliance with the strategic plans of the federal UAE government for developing the sporting industry, the 'Sports City' provides several sporting activities in Ras Al Kimah and Umm Al Quwain. He added: "Sports City has high standard facilities including three football tracks 'for six players each', a multi-purpose concourse for basketball, volleyball, handball and tennis. Sports City is organizing football championships and setting fitness and weight reduction programs by using the latest modern equipment and under professional medical supervision. At present, 'Sports City' is working on spreading out and establishing a specialized academic school of different games for the purpose of serving the national teams."
The second project 'Kadra Agriculture Marketing' owned by Mr. Ali Ahmad Obaid Bukarrood Al Marri, is considered as an integrated agricultural project.
Mr. Al Marri, stated that the business of "Kadra Agriculture Marketing" is based on constructing preserved agricultural houses and installing water planting systems for all types of vegetables and fruits. The project achieved great success in a very short period due to the importance of agricultural activities in the UAE society in particular and the strategic value of this project in view of its expansion to cover AGCC in general."
Al Tomooh Finance Scheme for Small National Businesses, one of Emirates NBD's corporate social responsibility initiatives is considered a pioneer scheme in the United Arab Emirates; the scheme was launched in 1998 and it provides its entrepreneurs the opportunity to choose the funding through Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic Bank.
