Al Wathba customer win for Bynx

Al Wathba Company for Central Services (AWCCS), based in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), has implemented bynxFLEET and bynxFLEET Short-term Rentals to manage the full life cycle of its 10,000 vehicle assets and instil efficiency and innovation into its leasing and vehicle rental business.

Driven by the need for a more streamlined, productive and cost-effective process for vehicle acquisition and management by corporate, government and semi-government organizations, AWCCS has taken the decision to make a significant investment in technology to support its business.

This includes Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle 11g database, fully integrated into ERP and human resources applications. bynxFLEET was chosen for vehicle fleet, leasing and rental management. Bynx is an Oracle Gold and Specialized status partner and all Bynx' technology is based on the Oracle platform.

Paul Greenwood, CEO of AWCCS, explained, "This was an ambitious project for us so in choosing a partner it wasn't just about technology - although the Oracle connection played a key role. Implementation of bynxFLEET began in 2012 and is scheduled to roll out fully this year (2013). This includes the next phase implementation of bynxNET, which offers a suite of integrated applications to improve the user experience and communication between dealers, customers, suppliers and drivers. All applications are fully web-enabled and bynxNET Rentals delivers specific functionality for short-term vehicle rental management online.

The Bynx solution includes a comprehensive suite of applications covering all aspects of the business - from quotation, procurement through to vehicle disposal. It utilizes workflow functionality to automate and streamline contract processing and empowers customers to maximize asset value and to do more, faster and with fewer resources.

All products have been designed to meet the specific legal, financial, regulatory and cultural requirements in the UAE and wider MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, such as management of road and sand tires, tolls/Salik and applicable fuel cards.
