Alba backs Arabal - key regional trade event

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)'s pledge to strengthen the region's status as a fast emerging hub for aluminium production was bolstered with sponsorship support for the 16th International Arab Aluminium Conference and Exhibition (Arabal2012) taking place from November 20 - 22, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Doha, Qatar.

As one of the Middle East's premier trade events, Arabal 2012 presents the perfect opportunity to meet with every single primary aluminium manufacturer in the region as well as provide aluminium producers, suppliers and consumers from around the world with a platform for exploring business possibilities.

Tim Murray, Alba's Chief Executive Officer, will join the CEO's of other Middle East smelters during a panel to talk about the future prospects of Aluminium Industry in the Middle East as well as the changes that will shape the future of the smelters in this region.

Alba was represented in Arabal's steering committee by Manager for Sales (GCC & Middle East), Abdul Aziz Daylami.

Commenting on Alba's sponsorship support for Arabal 2012, Alba's Chief Marketing Officer, Jean Baptiste Lucas, said, "As the first aluminium smelter in the Middle East, Alba is proud to support any initiative that increases global recognition for the region as a fast emerging hub for aluminium production. With smelters reducing capacity or closing down in many parts of the world, the Middle East continues to demonstrate a positive trend with production on the upswing along with announcements of new smelters being launched. Alba is certainly proud of its association with Arabal and is confident that it will play a key role in raising the region's profile on the international stage."

An exhibition is also being organised on the sidelines of the conference. As one of the exhibitors, Alba will be setting up a dedicated stand to showcase its portfolio of aluminium products, its quality focused production process, its environmentally friendly and safety conscious operations.
