Alba expects record production in 2012

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has said production and sales have been steady in the third quarter and that it expects full-year output to exceed the 2011 level, Reuters has reported. Production reached 219,681 tonnes during the quarter, compared with 222,553 tonnes in the same period a year ago, while sales were 218,507 tonnes, compared with 220,608 tonnes, Alba said. "For the year, Alba is projecting to exceed the record production it has achieved in 2011," said Tim Murray, the chief executive of Alba.
