Aldar rises, strikes deal with Arabtec on WTC tower Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi market gauge ADX General Index closed 0.36% lower at 3,094.26 points Tuesday. The sheikhdom's first developer Aldar Properties advanced 0.71% to hit Dhs1.42. Earlier in the day, Aldar said it has reached agreement with Dubai's Arabtec Holding (down 0.94% at Dhs2.11, listed onthe Dubai bourse DFM) for the long-term lease of all of the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi commercial tower. Arabtec, which is owned 22% by Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Aabar, will use the offices at WTC for its future expansion and its existing business operations and subsidiaries in the UAE capital.
