- PRESS RELEASE
Alhosn University will once again secure prime opportunities for its students, particularly its UAE Nationals, during the 2012 edition of Najah, the highly-anticipated annual education, training and career fair that is the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
Alhosn has become the first private university in Abu Dhabi to receive ABET accreditation for its Civil Engineering program and the only one in the entire UAE to be officially recognized by ABET for its Industrial and Software Engineering programs.
Running from October 16 to 18, 2012 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Najah 2012 will gather leading universities, training institutes and companies to provide rich employment opportunities particularly for UAE national graduates. The event will be an ideal platform for Alhosn University to disseminate its philosophy of 'global knowledge with local vision' and establish linkages with potential employers and educational partners as well.
"This year's Najah fair will open up vast opportunities for our engineering graduates whom ABET confirms have received the kind of topnotch education and critical thinking skills that today's highly competitive job markets are searching for. We will take this opportunity to emphasize that our women engineers also have what it takes to excel in their field. We will extensively discuss how our 12 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs under the Faculties of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences have molded many of our successful graduates who are now making a difference in their respective organizations. We are very excited about the great prospects this event holds for our students and we are positive it will be a good venue for us to advocate Alhosn's holistic approach to personal and professional development," said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor, Alhosn University.
Alhosn University was named after Abu Dhabi's historic Alhosn Palace and founded in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company. It accepts students of all nationalities as well as youths with special needs. The university has gained local and national prominence as a seedbed for technical and engineering talents.
Najah 2012 builds on five highly successful previous editions to provide an unparalleled educational, training and career experience to its thousands of student participants. Among its popular features are an Advice Clinic manned by qualified education and career path counselors and a comprehensive Education and Career Forum.
