  • PRESS RELEASE

AMAC Aerospace, the authorised and exclusive sales distributors for the Pilatus PC-12 NG in the Middle East is joining forces with Pilatus of Switzerland during MEBA 2012 this week (11th-13th December) at the new Dubai World Central Exhibition Centre venue at Al Maktoum Airport, Dubai.

Stand No 622/Chalet A20. A PC-12 (NG) will also be available for viewing on the static, demo flights could be arranged with a prior notification for interested potential customers.

The decision to exhibit jointly and showcase this distinctive business aircraft stems from increasing demand in this versatile, high speed turboprop (280 knots cruising speed with a pressurized cabin of up to 30'000ft) and its suitability in the region for air taxi operations, cargo operation (the PC-12 NG is fitted with a cargo door that has a height of 4ft 4in and width of 4ft 5in) and as well as serving as a long range fight surveillance vehicle especially with its short field take off capability and land anywhere characteristics.

"This aircraft has terrific capability and its popularity is reflected in the fact there are now over 1,200 sold all around the world. It can land on grass, gravel and it is very operationally efficient," said Kadri Muhiddin, CEO of AMAC Aerospace.

It can fulfil multi-role missions too - from accommodating up to nine passengers - to serving as an air ambulance or special mission role - attributes which will appeal to certain Middle East customers.

AMAC is marketing the high speed six-seater turboprop in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey and reports enhanced interest in the type.

"The aircraft is from A-Z the most economically (with a fuel burn of $200 per hour) interesting product available within the market of Turbo Prop aircraft. The various categories of comparison to be made on the PC-12 NG does not compare or come close to its nearest competitor due to the low operating costs, quick turn arounds, cabin flexibility and cabin size," added Kadri Muhiddin.

AMAC Aerospace, a leading provider of corporate aviation maintenance and completion service, has also invested in supporting the maintenance of the aircraft with the newly inaugurated Istanbul-based AMAC Turkey at Ataturk Airport.

Here, AMAC offers a three-storey sales and service centre, 1,200 square meters of shop floor space and 300 square meters of office space. The new facility complements the extensive hangar facilities at AMAC's EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse, Switzerland Headquarters.
