Ansell presents major product innovations in surgical hand protection at Arab Health 2013

At the Ansell booth (Concourse - Booth C258), visitors are invited to discover the latest innovations in hand protection, in particular two new cutting-edge technologies of the surgical glove range GAMMEXâ.

The GAMMEX Non-Latex Accelerator-Free Sensitive glove with SENSOPRENE is 30% thinner than standard synthetic surgical gloves and delivers an unprecedented level of sensitivity combined with strength, resistance and advanced allergy protection. The GAMMEX Powder-Free glove with AMT Antimicrobial Technology is the first solution to protect surgical staff against microbial transmission due to intraoperative glove breaches. Allergic reactions to latex proteins (type I allergies) and chemical accelerators (type IV allergies) in gloves are a key issue among healthcare workers. While type I allergies make up 17% of glove-related reactions, 33% are chemical allergies. This is a result of a skin hypersensitivity called contact dermatitis from regular exposure to chemicals used in glove manufacturing.
