Arab Potash Company pays JD40m advance on its 2013 royalty fees due to the Jordanian Government

Arab Potash Company's (APC) Board of Directors approved a recommendation from APC Chairman H.E. Jamal Al-Sarayrah and the Company's Canadian executive management, paying the Government of Jordan a JD40m advance.

This sum represents a large portion of the estimated JD45m royalty fee APC is scheduled to settle in 2013.

"APC is genuinely interested in supporting the Government of Jordan during these difficult economic times, and our decision to pay this amount and not wait until it is actually due, is part of our understanding of the current economic challenges. As a responsible corporation that employs over 2,300 Jordanians, we are continuously seeking to play an active role in supporting the economy and our beloved Kingdom," stated Al-Sarayrah.
