- PRESS RELEASE
ArpuPlus and Plus Units Inc. announced a multifaceted strategic partnership that combines the international scale and reach of ARPU Plus with Plus Units' patent pending technology service platform to give mobile operators around the world unprecedented acquisition to a cutting-edge technology in mobile VAS market.
As a result of this partnership, ArpuPlus will now offer its global network of leading mobile operators an AvansAir platform, which enables mobile operators to offer their prepaid subscribers to have their balance recharged by following some simple steps. It will be as simple as to request "advance" via sending a designated USSD, SMS or IVR. This service can be implemented with no cost, no risk and no technical or operational complexity to the mobile operators that either don't yet provide such service or provide it only to a limited segment of their prepaid consumer base.
AvansAir unique credit scoring system checks the history and approves or rejects the request based on subscriber's past performance. After acquisition, subscriber may not acquire another advance until the current debt is paid off. Advance amount gets collected when debtor subscriber makes a conventional refill.
AvansAir service platform is providing fast-track enabling mobile operators to secure a custom designed and rapid launch for a unique version of this white label service within a few weeks' timeframe. In addition, AvansAir service platform also comes with a basket of ready-to-consume concepts, designs, and workflows, pieces of software applications helping to build up the solution inside and outside the mobile operator's boundaries.
"At ArpuPlus we have long recognized the importance of VAS products and services innovations to the challenge mobile operators are facing as a result of rivalry competition in the mobile telecom industry today", said Fadi Antaki, Managing Director of Arpuplus. As Antaki said, "the potential for this partnership is limitless."
