Ashghal awards Aecom awarded $80m contract

Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded Aecom Technology Corp a contract to provide general engineering consultancy services for local roads and drainage projects in the south of the country. According to the $80m contract, Aecom is to provide services including data collection, planning, coordination, liaising with stakeholders, permit review, inspection of traffic diversions, option studies, design, construction supervision, as well as other consultancy services. The deal is part of a larger $14bn programme to develop the country's infrastructure, local roads and drainage.
