  • Iraq: Wednesday, January 30 - 2013 at 07:15

The share sale of Iraqi telecoms operator Asiacell was fully subscribed before its closing date, Bloomberg has reported. "The offering is now comfortably covered with a good mix of retail and institutional demand from within Iraq as well as institutional and high net worth demand from abroad," chairman of the IPO's organiser, Rabee Securities, Shwan Ibrahim Taha told the news service. Asiacell obtained a 15-year mobile telecoms licence in 2007 and had 43% market share by revenue at the end of September, with 9.9 million individual and corporate subscribers.
