  • PRESS RELEASE

ASUS has expanded its mainstream K series notebook range with the introduction of the K56CA notebook at Gitex Shopper. The 15.6" Intel Core i5-powered device includes an optical drive squeezed into a 21mm thin body; targeting mainstream uses that want to retain full functionality from their everyday notebooks.

ASUS anticipates interest from a broad swath of consumers visiting Gitex Shopper.

"With the K56CA, ASUS is starting to incorporate Ultrabook-like attributes into our mainstream line. Be it the slim form factor and looks or a 2-second standby-to-on time, ASUS is making the move to offer high-value features at a mainstream price point." said Leon Yu, Regional MD of ASUS Middle East.

Yu went on to add "What better time to introduce such a value laden product, than Gitex Shopper; the K56CA is the very definition of a great deal."

Sleek Design with Full Functionality
The ASUS K56CA grey hairline design gives this notebook a professional look. In spite of its slimness it does not shed critical features necessary for everyday use such as an optical drive or 3 USB ports and a SD card reader. ASUS has focused on build quality, giving the exterior a strong rigid finish and a one-piece molded top casing. In terms of audio, ASUS has included its Sonic Master technology offering powerful sound and a rich base.

Value at the heart of the K-Series
By integrating a subset of high-end features into mainstream notebooks, ASUS K-Series focuses on offering a mix of excellent value and utility for its class, all delivered in a good looking package.
