- PRESS RELEASE
Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official dealer for the brand with the four rings in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, showcases the Audi's growing product portfolio at the International Automobile Show in Sharjah this week. As show highlights Audi presents its new S models - the Audi S6, S7 and S8 - the high performance versions of Audi's top selling Middle East saloons, as well as the new Q5 PI.
"With the new Audi Q5 PI arriving to the market, the launch of the new S models, a brand new Audi showroom in Dubai, and another showroom service facility set to open in Sharjah next year, this is the perfect time to meet our local partners and customers in the Emirate," he added.
The new Sharjah showroom and service facility will pave the way for business in the Emirate. K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles, commented, "As we expand our operations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, we are making a marked commitment to cultivate what we have built in the 36-year history of Al Nabooda Automobiles."
The Audi Q5 is one of the most successful models offered by Audi in the Middle East. Following its highlight appearance at the opening of the new Audi showroom in Dubai, visitors of the Sharjah International Automobile Show are among the first to be able to explore the new Audi Q5 PI.
The mid-class SUV is now even more attractive, efficient and sporty - adding many new solutions in design, infotainment, chassis and engines. The sporty design of the Q5 is now appearing in a meticulously revised and sharpened form.
In revising the Audi Q5, fuel economy was improved by up to 15%, despite power increases for most engines. For the UAE a 2.0 TFSI and a 3.0 TFSI are available. Both engines are combined with an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox and quattro permanent four-wheel drive as a standard. Both engines combine direct fuel injection with turbocharging, and a start-stop system is also standard.
The 2.0 TFSI produces 225 hp, yet it has a combined fuel consumption of just 7.9 liters per 100 km with the tiptronic transmission. Offering even more performance is the new 3.0 TFSI - this supercharged V6 increases power output to 272 hp with 400 Nm of torque. It completes the sprint to highway speed in 5.9 seconds, a whole second less than its 3.2 FSI predecessor engine.
The new Audi S6, S7 and S8 shine with craftsman-like fit and finish, generous standard equipment and a range of high-end equipment options. Subtle yet eye-catching details on the exterior and interior signal the top position in the model series.
The S6 and S7 use the 420 hp version of the new 4.0 TFSI. The twin-turbo V8 provides a constant 550 Nm of torque from 1,400 to 5,200 rpm. It accelerates the S6 and S7 from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and 4.7 seconds respectively. The Audi S8 is the new head of the Audi S model family. Its new 4.0 TFSI generates no less than 520 hp and delivers a constant 650 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 5,500 rpm. The result is outstanding performance: The sprint from zero to 100 km/h takes just 4.2 seconds.
The 4.0 TFSI brings Audi's downsizing strategy to the high-performance class. The new S6 for example offers even sportier performance compared to the engine in the previous model while reducing fuel consumption by as much as 25%. The S8 averages just 10.1 liters per 100 km, much less than its competitors and a decrease of nearly 23% to the previous model despite a 70 hp increase in output.
New to the S family is the parking system with 360° camera. Four small cameras record images of the sedan's immediate surroundings and a computer splices them together. The system enhances safety while maneuvering and in narrow driveways.
