Ayaadi holds graduation ceremony for first batch of Ershad Program graduates

Etisalat's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative"Ayaadi"held agraduation ceremony for the first group of graduates from the Ershad Program, under the patronage of H.E Humaid Mohammed Obaid AlQattami, Minister of Education, who attended the event along with Etisalat's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Ali Alahmed.

In his speech, H.E Al Qattami thanked Etisalat for its contribution to the development of the education system in the UAE. He highlighted the important role of the counselors in providing care, generating positive attitudes and creating a suitable environment for the students to thrive and develop their personalities. H.E Al Qattami praised the Ershad program for its innovative educational policies which aim to guide students and reinforce their positive behavior in line with the Ministry of Education's aspirations and goals.

Ali Alahmed attributed the progress and development of the UAE to the creative vision of the country's President,focusing on investing in human capital that forms the main pillars of a country's progress. He pointed out that this vision has been adopted as the Corporation's strategic approach and responsibility in training Emiratis to become a highly competent and qualified workforce.

"Etisalat has always believed in the importance of training and development ofEmirati employees, and has launched various initiatives for this purpose. TheErshad program, one of the most important training programs created by Ayaadi, began six months ago to develop the skills of about 100 teachers and counselors"said Alahmed.

Highlighting the importance of the Ershad program Alahmed, stated that the program is the first-of-its-kind in the Arab region and it focuses on the improvement of teaching methods in the country to help students achieve better results. Its main aim is to facilitate the duties of the teacher, enhance the role of the counselor and define a suitable classroom management concept.

"To ensure the uniqueness of the Ershad program and to achieve maximum benefits in the educational field, Etisalat wanted the program to be more that 90% application-oriented.The course was designed after doing extensive field research and took into account the unique needs and culture of the people of this country. The Ershad program addressed not only the needs of the teachers and counselors, but also took into consideration the concerns of the students, managers and even the parents," added Alahmed.

The Ershad Program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education,trainedabout100 teachers and counselors,to better equip them to handle new developments in the education sector as well asassist them in guiding students on both the social and educational front to help them progress towards a better future.
