Badr Jafar and HRH Prince of Wales discuss Pearl Initiative good practices report

In December 2012, Badr Jafar, Co-Initiator of the Pearl Initiative, participated in the Annual Forum of The Prince Of Wales Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) at St James's Palace State Apartments in London.
His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales spoke about 'the role of the finance and accounting community in future-proofing our economy'.
The event focused on the role of the A4S community in helping organizations prepare for new economic, environmental and social risks and opportunities and the need for organizations to think in a more integrated way by embedding sustainability into their overall strategy and decision making processes.
The Pearl Initiative was set up in 2010 in collaboration with the UN Office for Partnerships. To date it has over 25 corporate partners, a Board of Governors made up of regional Government and Business leaders, and hosts over 20 events a year catering to C-Suite level executives across six countries.
