BAFTA nominated cinematography videographer to lead cinematography workshop in Dubai

Light House Studio Dubai, UAE's photo and film studio, in association with leading cinematographer Philip Bloom from London, invite videographers and cinematographer fans and aficionados to be part of a three day workshop learning world class skills and techniques for video and filming in cinematic styles.

In Dubai to teach for the first time, noted advocate and industry expert on how to use DSLRs, Philip Bloom will lead the workshops giving participants hands on experience of how to produce the perfect films and videos by getting the best out of DSLR videography.

Using first class recording equipment including the Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras, Philip will teach participants step by step how to create the perfect video using their DSLR equipment including audio and lighting techniques, right through to the shooting various scenes and post-production editing.

Taking place on the Thursday 17th of January, at the studio, the first one day intensive workshop Basic Videography workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn how to get the best out of their DSLR cameras, creating timelapses and the art of how to record sound to give you the best possible results.

The second workshop running from Friday 18th to Saturday 19th January sees Philip giving advanced level participants more of a feel of how to record in difficult lighting set ups and how to capture and reflect the real life mood and environment of a scenario within the recording.

The 2-day intensive Advance Master Class workshop will cover the understanding of getting the audio correct in post production, editing workflows, techniques and different filming set ups such as crane shooting, handheld camcorders and large sensor camcorders.

Participants will also be given training on client management and how to handle unexpected technical difficulties. Each workshop concludes with a comprehensive session of replaying the participant's footage for peer reviews.

Philip Bloom has extensive experience and knowledge of cinematography filming and has toured the globe from Clapham to Cambodia, hosting workshops and sharing his experiences and best practices with professional and independent filmmakers.
