- PRESS RELEASE
Bahrain Air, the private national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain has recently 'gone Google' by implementing the web based Google Apps suite of services.
"Implementing Google Apps has streamlined our internal communication, raised security and helped achieve savings on IT infrastructure costs. Given that we have presence in several locations around the world, sharing information securely and collaborating has never been easier," remarked Abdulla AlHamer, Director of Finance and Administration at Bahrain Air.
"We are constantly looking for innovative solutions which help us communicate more effectively whilst achieving cost savings. The Google Apps technology is lightning fast and our employees are satisfied with the many features that are being constantly introduced and updated by Google. Our dependence on physical office infrastructure has been reduced as data is stored on Google's servers therefore avoiding regular downtime for updates and maintenance so not only has it increased our efficiency but greatly lowered our expenses," concluded Mr. AlHamer.
Girard Moussa, Head of MENA Enterprise at Google, said "Over 5 million businesses use Google Apps with thousands more joining every day. We are delighted to have Bahrain Air move to the cloud with Google Apps and we see many Middle Eastern businesses waking up to the benefits of cloud computing."
