Bahrain Air operates direct flights to Khartoum and Beirut from Dammam's King Fahad International Airport

Bahrain Air, the private national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will operate direct flights to Khartoum and Beirut from Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's KFIA (King Fahad International Airport. The inaugural flight to Khartoum from the airlines second hub in Dammam, King Fahd International Airport took off on 13th June and the first flight to Beirut takes off on 20th June 2012.

The inaugural ceremony took place at Al Khobar's Golden Tulip hotel. The ceremony was graced by Bahrain Air's Managing Director Captain Ibrahim ALHamer and distinguished guests from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Civil Aviation Authority, as well as the Lebanese and Sudanese embassy representatives, travel trade partners and well-wishers.

Bahrain Air's Managing Director Captain Ibrahim ALHamer stated "This is a great moment in the history of Bahrain Air. The Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us as we start flying out of Dammam today. My thanks and appreciation goes to the Civil Aviation Authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their far sighted support in this venture."

Bahrain Air will operate three flights a week to Khartoum International Airport on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday departing from King Fahad International Airport, Dammam. On Tuesday and Sunday, the flight will depart at 09:45 a.m. reaching Khartoum International Airport at 13.15 p.m. and on Wednesday the flight will depart at 11:55 p.m. and arrive Khartoum at 03:30 am the next day.

The airline will operate four flights a week to Beirut on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday departing from King Fahad International Airport, Dammam at 11:20 a.m. and arriving Beirut International Airport at 2:05 p.m.

Bahrain Air's Regional Manager Saudi Arabia and GCC Mr. Hanif Zakaria stated, "Bahrain Air operates with its modern Aircraft A320/A319. We are a hybrid airline offering both business and economy class configuration. Our new flights schedule will give Bahrain Air passengers better convenience flying out from KFIA (King Fahad International Airport) and eliminate delays on the Saudi - Bahrain causeway."

The carrier also provides lounge facilities for its premium business class passengers and offers immediate connections to popular GCC destinations, the Levant and the Indian Sub-continent. Mr. Zakaria further stated.

Bahrain Air currently operates flights to three major cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
